Piluri

In the Himara Coast, besides the sea, the olive trees, the citrus groves and the Acropolis Mountains, there is an ethno - folk village of ancient origins from the Jelima Kaone tribes. "The Balkan Coast"; not in vain has taken this epithet Piluri, set at a height of 700 meters from where a dazzling coastline looks. A small village encircled by an overflow dome where in his center there is a roll under whose shade the men were sitting down to sing the traditional lab song with Kaonike. In addition to polyphonic songs, this village is also renowned for its rich folklore and traditional cooking. In this area you can enjoy the special dishes of the Labera region of mature lamb and goat meat. As for meat cooking, the traditional dish is "ksirogjaku", a pie known as pervelak, as well as boiled wild cabbages known as prikalidhe. The name of this village originally appeared in the 15th century as part of Sopoti's remit. Like other villages, it is also a symbol of the center of the Ottoman conquest. The Ottoman empires have not deleted the ancient history of this village where there are objects that prove its ancient ancestry. In the Vumblo field near the village are the Necropolis (Various) archeological sites of particular importance, as well as St. Nicholas Church as a mystical object in the midst of the extravagant oaks. This village creates a unique sense of geographic position, with rare facilities like a four-year-old church, or characteristic dwellings and hospitality of its inhabitants.
